27 November – 1 December, 2018

The way we move. The way we talk. The way we think. We want to show you the things about boys that you never get to see.

From our tenderness to our silliness, our strength to our vulnerability, from the way we walk, to the pitch of our voice, Boys is a celebration of manhood.

We’ll show you stories of our brothers, best friends, parents and lovers.

Devised and performed by an ensemble whose communities, families and heritage span across the world, Boys is a joyful and tender dance that uncovers the endless possibilities that make up a man.

Winner of the Origins Outstanding Work Award at VAULT Festival.

The Company

The Pappy Show are a playful physical and visual ensemble theatre company. Formed in January 2013 by Kane Husbands in order to provide a much-needed space for actors to train in physical theatre, we use exercise and training to devise and create work.

We believe that having a space to play, devise and fail improves us as performers and informs the way we approach our work.

Moving forwards, we will continue to offer physical training opportunities for actors and non- actors alike. Community cohesion and working together is key to the company’s ensemble ethos. / @pappy_show
