The Ununited Kingdom

At 18¼ Ella is out of education, out of work and out of options. She can’t sleep and sees no way out.

Jackie is a kindly, supportive matriarch who wants to clean up this community, save the library and fight for English values. Taking Ella under her wing, Jackie offers a new life, which slowly takes a darker turn.

A heart-warming coming of age story filled with friendship, drama, love, belonging and radicalisation, The Ununited Kingdom takes a bold, satirical look at problems simmering inside our communities.

This raucous brutal comedy is presented by Hull’s Silent Uproar, the company behind multi-award-winning sell-out show A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad).
