Horny Handed Tons of Soil

Inspired by the incredible work of Mersey poet Adrian HenriHorny Handed Tons of Soil fuses beat poetry with folk song; electronic composition with live brass & percussion and documentary film with theatrical storytelling.

Horny Handed Tons of Soil is written by Lizzie Nunnery whose play Narvik visited New Diorama in 2017, subsequently winning the TMA Theatre Award for Best New Play.

Horny Handed Tons of Soil was originally produced by Unity Theatre in response to the 50th anniversary year of the Mersey Sound, following a P&C, Unity Theatre and Liverpool Acoustic Festival seed commission in 2016.
